The Heat Is On!!!!
Well blogging reformers! Sorry I'm a day late in writing about Day 11.
Sid and I spent the entire day mentoring people. What a joy! We had one couple drive from Vancouver to come and be mentored, and then had a number of other local mentorship meetings.
It is becoming more clear to us the future direction that God has for us, and this makes me excited.
I have come to realize that the "HEAT IS ON"
The heat of His Light, is putting pressure on us, and illuminating things in all of our hearts.
God, in His kindness, allows us to experience situations that have an opportunity for us to bless or walk in judgement.
This has definitely been the case for me. But admidst it all, the frustrating moments, the moments when I feel the burning anger of injustice, the moments of misunderstanding.................. I am beginning to feel this little flicker of hope and choice.
I get to choose, I get to choose to partner with Him, and get His perspective, or better yet, leave it with Him. Now, I haven't done too good with this thing in the past, but I am beginning to feel the freedom of this truth.
There is a great sense of power in just knowing that I get to choose to partner with God (who ALWAYS wins by the way!) (Just not how we think it should happen)
This reformation thing is beginning to strike me quite funny. He set me up, and well, so what?!!!
Through this I have been able to be vulnerable and real with those around me. Yesterday in our mentorship meetings, I was able to be real about my reformation journey, and the whole judgement thing. It hit a strong cord with all who heard, and by the end, I was once again recommending the book to more who are longing for reformation.
Thank you God! Thank you for what you are doing in us, that will ripple beyond our lives, and into those around us. Help us to partner with you, help us to choose, and help us to laugh at ourselves along the way.
PS- Today is Day 12. Its a day of celebration of God's provision for my daugther Lindsay, and I will write about it later today. Be prepared for a miraculous story!

Neat that you are "mentoring"...but this does not suprise me!
When we fist met your family Shaun and Sid met (for coffee, lunch etc)often. This continued for several years and Shaun grew and changed so much. Sid was very much a spiritual dad to Shaun, afferming and encouraging him. Shaun's character grew and I saw so much great change in his life...which affected OUR life as a family. ;o)
Cheryl, you were such a mentor to Shaun in the area of worship. He has learned so much from you and appreciates all that you have invested into him. You always made me feel included and appreciated, as a "wife of a worshiper".
We are always thanking God for Sid and Cheryl, for the part you have played in our lives. You still are a part of it...over the miles. We love you!

Choices...it really always boils down to that doesn't it?
Choices in flossing or not, choices to exercise or not, choices to eat properly or not,
choices to forgive or not,
choices to pass judgements or not....and the list continues...
Thank you Father for giving us the power to choose...and help us more often than not to make choices that bring life to our bodies and our spirits. Thank you as well, for connecting us with those who can encourage us and that we can encourage as we make this journey of choices.

The heat is on alright...I have had to appologuise to people at work twice since starting this 21 day thing!:o) Situations arise that require me to hold my tongue and I am not so good at that when it appears "stupid" to me, or interferes with the job that I have been assigned. Oh well...thank-you Lord for the opportunity to learn and grow!
Oh Cheryl, you have such a mother's heart. You only want the best for your 'children'. I admire how you are so giving of yourself to others. You just care so much!! You are very genuine and I respect you for that.
And your gift of hospitality - what can I say - I have to be careful not to be envious. Your 'open door policy' has been such a place of refuge for so many.
There are so many 'plants' from all the seeds that you and Sid have sown. You cared and nutured for so many. Some of those plants have been transplanted, some have been pruned, and some will be getting ready to blossom with the onset of spring. Enjoy your efforts.
